Mike Abdouch (current Treasurer, Re-election) - I have been a resident of Hillsborough for 14 years, and I
have enjoyed serving as your HALO treasurer for the past 3 years. Over that time, I have ensured the fiscal health of the
association was sound. I have streamlined the dues billing process, which has improved the paid-in-full dues for the
1158 homes to 95%. I have worked with the HALO president to collect a significant amount of considerably delinquent
dues from years before I became treasurer. All bills have been paid on time and taxes are filed in a timely manner. I am
constantly updating our financials, and I have ensured that we stay within our annual budgets. As challenging as it may
be at times, I really do enjoy being treasurer. I look forward to continuing my service as your board member to our
Connie Bitz - The Board has been doing and excellent job and I would like to be considered as a candidate to join the
Board. During the past 45+ years I have worked in a large law firm and have gained invaluable experience that has
helped me to continuously grow. I am not afraid to lend a helping hand when something needs to be done or someone
Mary Finley - My husband, Gregg, and I have lived in Hillsborough for 26 years and are the original owners of our
home. We have two sons, Evan and Nick. I worked for OPPD in various positions for 36 years and retired in 2010 as
Manager of Business Continuity Planning. After retiring I went back to school at UNMC and received my BSN and am
currently working as an RN at Immanuel Medical Center. I am interested in serving on the HOA because I would like to
do my part in ensuring our neighborhood is properly maintained, thereby safeguarding our property values.
Aaron Gurzick (Board Member, Re-election) - I have lived in Hillsborough since 2006 with my wife and 3
children. During my time on the board I have focused on covenant enforcement and assisting with neighborhood
safety/security recommendations. I also assisted in applying for the Mayor’s Grant in 2018 and 2019.
Jon Kramer (Board Member, Re-election) - My name is Jon Kramer, current board member, and I am
running for Hillsborough Board Member. I have been a Hillsborough resident for 12 years. I am a 20-year Douglas
County Sheriff Deputy. I am married with two kids. Both kids attend school at Buffett. While on the HALO board, I have
updated our landscape lighting, brought our electrical up to code, and revamped our holiday Christmas lighting. I look
forward to continuing to serve this neighborhood in the years to come. Thank you for your vote.
Pat Ragle - I’ve lived in Hillsborough for 18 years. I am retired from M.U.D. where I worked in the engineering dept.
I am a retired pilot where I flew a hot air balloon for years. I have several other hobbies including riding H.D.
motorcycles. I think being on the board would be an interesting way to learn more about the neighborhood. If you have
any other questions you can e-mail me
Thomas Volz - My wife Annie and I have been a resident of Hillsborough since the summer of 2003. One of the
deciding factors for us moving into Hillsborough was the presence of an active Board and the events hosted for families
in the community. It has always been my desire to get involved in support of our Board’s activities. I have volunteered
to help at various events and activities within our community. I particularly enjoy opportunities to help my neighbors
and supporting positive changes in our community.
